The time commitment can vary depending on the friendship you establish, but it typically involves meeting with the matched person regularly over a set period of 3 months to begin with.

The process of matching consists of NEWCOMERS choosing the best match they think echoes their needs the best. Leaving it up to local to decide weather to accept the request to match or not. Both parties can end a friendship whenever they see it is needed.

At the end of the first duration of the friendship, the Local mentor and Newcomer can choose to continue their relationship or end the friendship. You can choose to continue the friendship with matched person, find another match or if you were a Newcomer in it and you feel like you learned enough, you can turn into a Local mentor for someone in need of help! System only follows your journey for 3 months. After that system will mark you as free for new mentorship. It does not mean that you have to stop the already existing friendship.

The program may also provide feedback surveys to evaluate the program's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

The program is free of charge. LOCALS agree to volunteer their time for the project, even though no compensation for this is involved. They also do not expect any benefit from the people they are mentoring.
